PM to discuss WRB with various political parties

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will consult leaders of some political parties Tuesday to decide on Women' Reservation Bill meanwhile Congress leaders issue whip to vote for the legislation in the Rajya Sabha.

Voting on the women's reservation bill in the Rajya Sabha could not take place after it was moved by the government on Monday.

The opponents of the measure belonging to SP, RJD and an expelled member of the JD(U) launched a turmoil inside the house and tore off the copies of the bill; whose core concern is hovering over the reservation percentage and that the passage of bill escalate their chances of being defeated from the current position.

The leaders from the Samajwadi Party and RJD also threatened to withdraw the support to the UPA government.
